For more than 3 decades Australian formed band AC/DC have been rocking the world with electricfying performances, selling more than 150 million albums worldwide. Inducted into the the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, AC/DC have an amazing album listing  including "Highway to Hell', 'Back in Black" and "TNT".  
The band will return home for the 'Black Ice Tour" to perform in 3 sold out shows on February 11th, 13th and 15th at Etihad Stadium. RUGBY FEVER IN JUNE!

Etihad Stadium will host two blockbuster events in June.
Wednesday night saw the 2009 State of Origin Series kick off between New South Wales and Queensland with Queensland convincingly winning game 1 of the series.

On June 20 Etihad Stadium will host a different style of Rugby, with the 2009 Bundaberg Rum Test Series between the Australian Qantus Wallabies and Italy. This Rugby Union match will welcome back Italy, having played and lost to Australia in June 2005.

Corporate suites for the Bunderberg Rum Test Series are now available.

SOCCER WORLD CUP

The MCG will host the World Cup game on Wednesday June 17 to watch Australia take on Japan in the final round of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
This will be Australia’s final match in the qualifying stage before earning a World Cup position in South Africa next year, where they will strive to achieve the heroics of the 2006 campaign in Germany.

MELBOURNE VICTORY TO HOST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE SIDE

Soccer will also be the flavour at  Etihad Stadium in July with Melbourne Victory to host Australian football hero Mark Schwarzer and his English Premier League side Fulham in an international friendly match on Saturday July 11th.

EJ WHITTEN LEGENDS MATCH
Tuesday 30th June - Etihad Stadium

The E.J. Whitten Foundation was established in 1995 to commemorate the memory of Ted Whitten Senior who unfortunately passed away due to Prostate Cancer.

Ted was the face of State of Origin Football and he believed passionately in the game, particularly the Victorian team and proudly represented them on 29 occasions in roles ranging from player to captain, captain-coach and then Chairman of Selectors. 

The E.J. Whitten Legends game is a tremendous initiative to commemorate the memory of Ted and his commitment to Victorian Football. It was launched in 1996 with resounding success and is now firmly established as a major fixture on the Australian sporting calendar. The game is based on a State of Origin format ( Victoria vs All Stars) featuring recently retired champions of Australian Rules Football.
